Easily manage employee business trips with the Travel Request module — from submitting travel plans to tracking approvals, everything is streamlined to ensure smooth and transparent travel management within your organization.
Feature Overview #
The Travel Request module includes three main routes:
- Create – Employees can submit new travel requests for approval.
- Approve – Approvers or managers can review, approve, or reject travel requests.
- View (All Travel Requests) – Displays all travel requests across the organization for reference and visibility.
Each of these routes is permission-based, allowing admins to decide who can create, approve, or view requests from Admin → Permissions.
1. Create Travel Request #
Employees can submit travel requests for business trips, meetings, or official visits using the Create Travel Request form.
The process ensures proper documentation, approval, and cost tracking for every trip.
Travel Request Form: #
- Search Employee: Select your name or another employee (if permitted to create on behalf of others).
- Title– Add a short title for the travel (e.g., Client Visit – Dhaka Branch).
- Destination– Mention the city or place of travel.
- Travel Mode– Select travel type (e.g., Air, Train, Bus, etc.).
- Start Date– Date the trip begins.
- End Date– Date the trip ends.

Tip: #
Admins or authorized users can submit travel requests on behalf of employees, making it ideal for HR or travel coordinators managing team logistics.
2. Approve Travel Request #
The Approve Travel Request page is designed for managers or assigned approvers who review travel requests submitted by employees.
Approval Dashboard Example: #
| ID | Employee | Start Date | End Date | Travel Mode | Attachment | Status | Requested Date | Action |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TRV001 | John Doe | Oct 25, 2025 | Oct 28, 2025 | Air | Available | Pending | Oct 22, 2025 | Open Menu |
| TRV002 | Sarah Miller | Nov 5, 2025 | Nov 10, 2025 | Train | Available | Approved | Oct 20, 2025 | Open Menu |
Available Actions: #
- ✅ Approve – Approve the travel request.
- ❌ Reject – Reject with comments if needed.
- 👁️ View – Review travel details before taking action.
If multi-level approvals are configured, the request automatically moves to the next approver after approval — ensuring a smooth approval flow similar to the Bill module.
3. View All Travel Requests #
The All-Travel Request route gives organization-wide visibility of all submitted travel requests.
Users with view-only permission can check the travel details, statuses, and history but cannot modify or take any action.
Travel Request List Example: #
| ID | Employee | Start Date | End Date | Travel Mode | Attachment | Status | Requested Date | Action |
